RTE is reporting that the ESB is expected to announce the creation of up to 3,700 new jobs.It is believed the electricity company will announce plans for up to 3,700 jobs in a number of areas, including smart metering and infrastructure to allow the recharging of electric cars. It is believed the new posts will be created as a result of the development of new energy technologies. The ESB will hold a press conference in Dublin this afternoon to announce details of a major stimulus package of what it is calling sustainable investments.
